Jack (Jakob) Jagt
September 15, 1942 - January 18, 2023
Jack went to his heavenly home on January 18, 2023 at Wyndham Manor at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his wife Mary and son Gregory Aren and his wife Tara Joan (McEvoy) and grandchildren Dylan Patrick and Megan Siobhan and son Derek Alan. His grandchildren were the love of his life! Jack was born in the small town of Neiuw Amsterdam in The Netherlands and immigrated with his family to Canada in 1950. Brothers Peter (Shirley), John (Mary) Hank (Mary) Arnold (Ann predeceased) and David, Sisters Alice (Ed) Hekman and Margie (Doug) Krebs. Predeceased by brother Albert.

Love of books and all things political were Jack's passion. He loved a debate with whoever was around about current events and he was always knew the latest. His church community at Clarkson/Clearview church was a big part of his life. He served on many committees within the Christian Reformed Church and did that proudly. Jack was a commodity trader in Natural Rubber and traveled to SE Asian countries to meet suppliers. He was on various boards within the rubber industry, also. He proudly passed on the business to his son Greg. That love of travel continued into retirement with a motor home and wife Mary. He drove all over the US and Canada, loving the beautiful natural world of mountains and lakes and red rock scenery. Cruises also brought interesting places to visit. One of his goals was to drive all around each of the Great Lakes on the road closest to the water and that was accomplished!

After a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease, he spent 4 years at Wyndham Manor and the staff became our second family. We thank them so much for their loving care!

Jack is in his eternal home now with his loving Saviour Jesus Christ. To God be the glory!
