Peacefully at age 81, on March 23, 2009. Jack was the loving husband and best friend of Joan for 58 years. Proud father of Ian, and Bari and her husband Dan Atkinson. Fun loving Poppa to Jessi, Danie and Alec. Son of the late Ede and Orv Burkholder. Jack advanced from Imperial Oil at age 55 and enjoyed his second career at the Marketing and Promotion Group. An avid volunteer his whole life volunteering and sharing his market savvy with many local and national community groups. A proud Lieutenant in the Royal Regiment of Canada, Jack cherished lifelong friendships he and Joan developed with their fellow Royals. Go peacefully your caring soul and spirit carries on in all of us whose lives you have touched. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 4-7 pm Thursday March 26, 2009. A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held at 3:00 pm Friday March 27, 2009 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville.
