The family sadly announces the demise of a beloved mother and champion cribbage player on Monday July 23, 2007, in her 99th year at Sheridan Villa, her home the past five years. Ivy was predeceased by her sweetheart George, her son George and daughter Betty. She is survived by her daughter Joan and her husband Jim Johnston and son Norman and his wife Ineke and daughter in law Anna. Also grandchildren Joanne, Heather, Michael, Andrew, George, Melissa and Leah and her two children and great grandchildren Courtney and Graham, Sydney, Sarah, Parker and Carter, Oscar, Daniel and Charlotte and Nathaniel. Ivy was predeceased by her brother Ernie and sisters May (Blodwin), Mabel, Beatrice, Florence, Mildred and Gladys. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. For those who wish memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
