It is with sad and heavy hearts that the family of Ivan Vlahovic, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, announces his passing on Friday May 10,2013 in his 83rd year. Ivan passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by love and care of his 2 dedicated and loving sons John and Mark along with their wives Brenda and Jane. Ivan lost the love of his life Marija (nee Smikilas) May 23,2006 but learned to carry on with his kind heart and happy disposition. Proud grandfather "Deda" of Nicole (Matt DaCosta), Jonathan(Grace), Kristopher, Laura and Lisa. Great grandfather of Mila, Liliana and Ilija. He will be so greatly missed by all who were touched by his kindness. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville. Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Croatian Catholic Church, 2110 Trafalgar Road, Oakville.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
