Irene Clarke

January 11, 1943 – July 12, 2024

Irene left us peacefully, at 2:21 am on July 12, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife and mother, she will be deeply missed following a courageous battle with cancer.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to this beautiful woman. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. Her spirit and compassionate advocacy for social justice will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Funeral Mass to take place at Église Saint-Nom-de-Marie in Baie-Comeau, Québec at 2 pm August 17, 2024 with burial to follow at Cimetière St-Joseph de Manicouagan. A celebration of life will be held in or around Oakville later in August or September. Details to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Doctors without Borders/Medecins sans Frontieres or the Canadian Cancer Society in Irene's honour.
