The family sadly announces the peaceful passing of Irene at Brantford General Hospital on Friday, February 4, 2011 at the age of 84. Loving wife of the late Wilfred. Long time companion of the late Gilbert Spencer. Beloved mother of Marlene (Al Bencina), Don Pilon (Deb), Norm (Karen), Carol (Les Feero), Brenda (Bruce Spencer), Merv (Erin), Bev (Chris Dugdale), Kevin (Monique) and the late Roderick. Cherished grandmother of 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of James, George, Richard, Hilda, Victoria, Emelia, Aline, Justine and the late Theresa, Jacqueline, Phillip, Robert, Ronald and Emma. She will be greatly missed by many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 2pm in the Kopriva Chapel. Interment to follow at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
