It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Immacolata (Imma) Ancona surrounded by her loving husband and children in her 96th year. Adored wife of Francesco for 69 years, cherished mother of Vic (Pat), Marino (Vilija), Enza (Luciano) Oresti, Grace (Frank) Bagnulo, Tony (Linda), Mike (Trisha), and Mary (Glen) Nicholson. Loving Nonna to 16 Grandchildren (Jennifer (Derek), Jacqui (Cory), Adam (Jenna), Nick (Jasmine), Julia, Mark (Melissa), Robert, Chris (Stephanie), Mary (Matt), Angela (Eric), Kathleen (George), Adrian, Luca, Nora, Ben and Alex) and Bis-Nonna to 16 great grandchildren (Dylan, Jillian, Meiya, Maxen, Charlee, Annie, Milania, Adrianna, Ella, Ava, Connor, Bianca, Roman, Vivian, Jack and Alexander)

Predeceased by her parents Marino and Grace Pastore, brothers Michael (Pina) Pastore, Pietro (Melina) Pastore, sisters Carmela (Ricardo) Carbone, Maria (Pasquale) DeBellis, Mina (Vincenzo) Mazzilli, Nilla Palumbo and brother-in-law Antonio Visentin. Survived by her sister Giuseppina Visentin and brother-in-law Frank Palumbo. She will be missed by many neices, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Born in Martina Franca, Italy, immigrated to Canada in 1967 with Francesco and her children. She was the Matriarch of our family and will be forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, wisdom and heartwarming presence to everyone she knew. Her love and joy were her family and home, praying, her rose garden and cooking for her family and guests. May the angels lift you to eternal peaceful rest forever in our hearts.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the exceptional compassionate care received by the entire staff and volunteers at lan Anderson House and the Pallative Home Care team of Elizabeth, Vivian and Dr. Hussain.

Visitation will take place at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home Sunday August 28, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and then at 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at St Michael's Roman Catholic Church Monday August 29, 2022 at 10:00 am, burial to follow at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
