Basek- Ida Mildred nee Brown passed away peacefully on November 26 2023 in her 86th year. Predeceased by husband Charles Basek (Oct 08 2019) brothers Joe Brown (Jackie), Bill Brown, Jim Brown (Ann) daughter Stephanie Joe (1960), sons Harold Anderson (1993) Bobby Anderson (2012) and Adam Whisken (2022). Survived by brother Ted Brown (Carol) and sister Joyce Ann Maxey (Bob), children Steve Whisken (Patti),  Kelly Garrison (Tom),  Trina Whisken and Sherry Whisken (Hugh Watson). Also survived by Michael Basek (Susanne) and Sueellen Basek (Ken Stretch),  8 grand children and 7 great grand children.  Ida worked as a nurse at the former St Thomas Psychiatric Hospital in her earlier years. She enjoyed raising her chidren and fostering many. She later resided in Oakville for over 40 years where she and husband Charlie enjoyed travelling as well as vacationing in their Florida home. A special Thank you to the staff at Royal Oak Retirement Home for their love, care and compassion for mom. Also many thanks to Care Partners and Home Care who helped take care of mom in her final days. Cremation has taken place.
