Passed away peacefully on April 3rd 2009 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. Hugh leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Betty; his four children and their spouses Hugh (Debbie), Margaret (Scott), Sheila (John) and Jim (Patty); and six grandchildren Jennifer, Lauren, Matthew, Ian, David and Andrew. Hugh also leaves behind his sisters in Scotland, Jean and Joyce. He was predeceased by his parents, Isobel and Hugh, and his sister Elizabeth.

At Hugh's request, cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will take place at St. John's United Church in Oakville on Friday, April 10th, 2009 at 2p.m. followed by a reception at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W. in Oakville. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
