Passed away with great courage and grace on Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Scarborough General Hospital, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of James Alexander. Cherished mother of Lori Archer and partner Peter Pomykacz. Loving grandmother of Robert, Jimmy and Gregory. Will be sadly missed by sister-in-law June Mathews and brother-in-law Robert Twigg, nephew Paul Twigg (Sharon) and their sons Jonathan and Warren. Will also be greatly missed by her life-long friend Dorothy Johnston. Former employee of Maher Shoes and Simpsons. A Funeral Service will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West, Oakville, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in the Kopriva Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Glen Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Family Transition Place, Orangeville; The Canadian Hearing Society, Toronto; or The Ontario Cultural Society of the Deaf would be appreciated by the family.
