Obituary

Our father Hermann came to Canada in 1951, residing at Kirkland Lake, Sudbury, Elliot Lake and then to Dryden in 1960. He was a carpenter by trade and worked with Abolin Construction in Dryden. He was a member of the Dryden Chamber of Commerce. It was with great sadness that the family announced that Hermann, at the age of 30, passed away at his home, on Sunday, October 4, 1964 at Thunder Lake, Ontario, Canada. He was survived by his former wife Rose Marie Wirsing-Schmidt and their sons Peter aged 10, Fred aged 9 and Herman aged 8; his parents Friedrich Johann and Erna Lydia Lang, and the late Frieda Dinklemeier; his brothers and sisters, Fritz and his wife Emmy; Friedel and her husband Wilhelm Stammerjohann, and their daughter Sigrid; the late Rudy Lang; Karl and his wife Emilie (Millie), and their children Erika, Karlheinz (Heinz) and Hermann Kurt; Erwin and his wife Anna Maria and their children Sonia and Jurgen Lang; Grete and her husband Glen Taylor, and their children Thomas, Luke, Mark, Molly, John, Erna and Mary; Ilse and her husband Jack Fisher, and their son Friedrich Johann; Horst and Gerhard. A Funeral Service was held at St. John's Anglican Church, Wabigoon, Ontario on Tuesday, October 13, 1964 at 2 p.m. Interment followed in the family plot in Wabigoon Cemetery. Reverend Boyd officiated.
