Passed away peacefully in his 74th year with his family at his side. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years Liz, his daughter Cynthia and son Michael. He was a proud Opa to his grandchildren Shelby, Grace and Rhiannon.
Predeceased by his parents, Betty and John Behrens,
he is also survived by his brother Horst Behrens (Louise) sister Gisella Schuler (Bruno), sister-in-law Birgit Huffman and brother-in-law Allan Andkilde. He also leaves behind cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and in the United States. Thank you to the caring staff at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Staff at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, staff from the Halton Peel CCAC and Ian Anderson House. A special thank you to Dr. G. Morris and Dr. H. Pyle.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600). In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Ian Anderson House or the Rotary Club of Oakville.
