SMITH, HENRY MALCOLM, ESQ. (HAL)

Passed away in Oakville, Ontario on August 16, 2026 in his 105th year. Born October 7, 1921 in his greatly beloved Niagara-on-the-Lake. Only child of Henry and Mary Margaret Smith (nee Hall).

Predeceased by his dearest wife Doris Marguerite Stinson. He is survived by their much loved only child Mark Douglas Malcolm Smith of Oakville.

Apart from service in World War II in England, North Africa and India, he was employed solely by the Royal Bank of Canada in a number of provinces and countries, retiring in 1981. In the second portion of his life, he became an ardent genealogist.

Though oft with care opprest

In faith I calmly rest

Great peace they surely have

Who in the Lord confide

Who cast on him all care

And in His love abide

A private family funeral is being held.
