Obituary
Helen " Gilly " Macrae passed away peacefully on July 24 ,2017 at Mount Sinai Hospital surrounded by her family in her 96 th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband John " Bubs " Macrae and her son Ian Macrae and his wife Piret Truuvert. Survived by her son Bruce Macrae (Lisa) and her daughter Janie Smith (Greg).
Also survived by her 6 grandchildren who were loved by their Nana; Erin Shropshall (Paul), Sean Macrae (Jennifer), Trina Macrae (Greg Neudorf), Kristin Macrae (Scott French), Graham Smith (Karin Johansson), Alison Smith-Chapman (Jay Chapman).
Additionally, Helen loved her 11 great grandchildren; Clare and Paige, Calum and Magnolia, Ian, Maeve and Hewitt, Charlie, Mathias and Freya, and Montye. Mom enjoyed a wonderful and long life in Oakville and then later in Lakefield while " Bubs " taught at Lakefield College School. She made many new friends while living at the Dunfield Retirement Residence in Toronto for the past few years. Many thanks to the Dunfield for the great care she received there. Also thank you to all the staff at Mount Sinai for the wonderful care they gave our mother. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be celebrated in the future.Helen "Gilly" Macrae's Guestbook
