Heinz-Peter Saltzmann, a beloved member of our community, passed away on October 23, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

Heinz-Peter was a loving husband, father, and friend, who touched the lives of those around him with his kindness, generosity, and compassion.

Born in Bremen, Germany on June 30, 1940, Heinz-Peter had an unstoppable drive-in business and home improvements.  At home, at the age of 83, fighting cancer, circulation problems in his legs, with a weak heart and trouble breathing, he was still trying to make home improvements.

On the business side, his passion was to fulfill his dream of owning and building his own company, which he did with great pride and success; he was a go getter with drive to never quit or give up. Heinz-Peter will be remembered for his big smile, his quirky jokes and his ability to bring people together .He had an incredible sense of humor and a unique way of making everyone feel valued and appreciated.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his professional achievements, Heinz-Peter had a deep love for his family. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Ann Saltzmann who he was married to for 57 years, his sons Klaus-Peter Saltzmann and Derk Saltzmann, and his adoring grand children Lars-Peter, Hans-Peter and Heidi-Gail Saltzmann.  He will forever be remembered as a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr Street) from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Oakville on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 11:00 am.
