Obituary

Passed away peacefully surrounded by love and adoration on May 5, 2021, in Oakville.  Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Johanna Kent, her sons Raoul and Cuan van Reenen, and her sister, Jean Gomez.  Hazel has found peace and will finally be reunited with them. Born February 18, 1929 in Simonstown, South Africa, Hazel immigrated to England in 1958 and then on to Canada in 1965. Hazel leaves behind 5 children who she cherished and was a devoted Nana and Ooma to many adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her infectious laugh and smile that could light up any room will be dearly missed by those who loved her. Due to Covid restrictions a private memorial service in honour of Hazel's life will take place on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church in Oakville, followed by the laying to rest of her body at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, in Woodbridge.
