Hana Valent passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. Hana was the beloved wife and partner of Jan; loving mother to Martin and George; cherished Baba to Josh; and dear sister of Jozefina, Jana and Karol.

Hana, a retired high school librarian, passed away after a courageous, 2-year-long, battle with cancer. Her love of life, family and her work didn't come to an end with her death. She will be honoured by her family, and all those who knew her, by living their lives to the fullest.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 5p.m. to 8p.m., at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street).

Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 12pm (noon) at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 1150 Monks Passage, Oakville.

Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville.
