IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gwendolyn Olive
Manchester
February 22, 1923 – June 20, 2017
(nee Toms)
Passed peacefully at home, in her 95
th
year, with her devoted son, grandson, and Poochie by her side, reading their stories together, as they have done for the past many years.
A graduate of Queens University where she met her husband Donald, she was an avid reader, a lover of art and a deeply spiritual person. Her hands were never idle, as she studied and worked at every form of painting, needle craft, sculpture or calligraphy. In her lifetime, she was a stalwart member of her church and volunteer in her community. Gwen gave freely of her time and energy to help others.
Above all, Gwen lived for her family. She was a strong, loving and dedicated wife to Don (d. 1993), mother of seven, mother-in-law, grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 4. Our touchstone is gone and we miss her terribly.
A service of remembrance will be held on Friday June 30, 2017 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville at 11am followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Pegasus Community Project, Toronto http://www.pegasustoronto.ca/
