Guy Victor Marcil passed away peacefully on August 8, 2022 at Post Inn Village in Oakville, Ontario. Predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Joan, Guy will be greatly missed by his loving daughters Anne (David), Louise and Yvonne and adoring granddaughters Megan and Rachel.
Born October 3, 1933 in Montreal, Quebec, Guy was the youngest of his siblings: 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He married Joan Robertson on April 20, 1963 and was a devoted father to his 3 daughters.  Guy enjoyed a long and successful career as a Corporate Accountant (CMA).After moving to Oakville, Ontario, in 1984, Guy and Joan enjoyed many years of travel to Britain, Europe, USA and Asia. He loved playing bridge and golf with his many friends. He also cherished time spent with his granddaughters. Guy will be fondly remembered for his kind and friendly smile.  He was playful and loved to laugh, joke, dance and sing. He was a true gentleman. The family would like to thank the staff at Post Inn Village for their compassionate and dedicated care over the past 2 years. A funeral service will be held at Saint Dominic Parish, 2415 Rebecca St, Oakville, Ontario, on Friday August 12, 2022 at 10:30 am In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Guy to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated.
