We share the peaceful passing of Gunter Angerstein at OTMH on August 3, 2022 at 88 years old.

Survived by his adoring wife, Moyra. He will be greatly missed by his son Kevin and his wife Fariya as well as by his daughter Patricia and her husband Michael. Pops will be missed by his three loving grandchildren Ghalia, Emily, and Colin. Gunter is predeceased by his mother Ida and father Taugott as well as by both of his sisters Gisella and Ursula.

Born in Berlin, Germany he emigrated to Montreal in 1956. He married Moyra in 1963, welcomed Kevin and Patricia into the world, and then moved his family to Ontario in 1978. He brought his work ethic and gentle nature to everything he attempted and most especially to his work at Ringball Corp. where he trained many new workers with patience and encouragement. With his passing, this world lost a man who loved to make jokes to make the people around him smile. A man who gave wonderful support to his wife and wanted only the best for his children. His pride in his grandchildren was unending. Gunter was an avid bowler until arthritis denied him the pleasure. He reveled in all kinds of music from classical to pop. He was never happier than when fiddling with his watch and clock collection. Time was precious and precise for Gunter. He was a devoted Roman Catholic and shared his love for God over the years as an usher and a Eucharisitc Minister.

His family is grateful for the wonderful care given to Gunter at OTMH during his short illness and unexpected death. A very big thank you to Neelum for her friendship and the PSW care that she has given to Dad over the past few years. We are truly thankful to you.

Gunter's funeral will be held at 11am on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at St. Christopher's Parish in Clarkson, with reception to follow and the interment at 2:30pm at Holy Family Cemetery in Milton.
