Obituary

Graham "Milt" Farrow was born on February 18, 1931– the first son of Arnold and Elda (nee Colbeck) Farrow.

He received his college diploma as an Ontario Land Surveyor, but had developed a passion for saxophone during high school and joined a jazz band after graduation.  His love of music and drama led him to find his beloved wife.  Milt and Mary were married in Toronto in 1956–less than a year after they met.

Milt and Mary welcomed their first born, Stephen, in 1958 and continued to add to their family with Heather in 1959, David in 1960 and Debbie in 1962.

Milt's professional life progressed as successfully as his family.  He joined the Ministry of Municipal Affairs in 1958, and became Assistant Deputy Minister of Housing in 1981.  When he retired in 1989, he opened his own consulting firm to continue supporting municipalities across the province.

Milt's love of his family was followed closely by his love of flying.  In the summer of 1979 he rebuilt a WWII plane, flying it across the country.  Milt eventually took over as manager of the  Burlington Airpark where he would continue to take to the skies well into his 8th decade.

Milt and Mary found their greatest fulfillment in missionary endeavors in countries such as China, Cuba, Uganda, Kenya, Israel and Haiti.  Milt's longest-standing, and most passionate philanthropic venture began unexpectedly in 1998 on a business trip to Russia, when he visited the orphanages of Uzbekistan and his heart broke for the children.  He pledged a life-long commitment to this cause that changed countless lives, and led to the eventual creation of SVET Ministries , to which donations will be accepted through Evangel Pentecostal Church in his memory, in order to continue the work he and Mary began.

Milt's adventures were cut short in January 2015, when he slipped and fell.  Although his injury grounded him from flying, he continued to leave powerful impressions through his iron grip and radiant smile, remaining a gentleman of Godly grace and character. He never failed to tell Mary how much she was loved each and every day.  He never stopped giving to others, and despite so many limitations, he never ceased radiating the love and grace of Jesus.

On Friday, September 23, with his wife by his side, Milt returned to the sky. He was welcomed into Glory by his Savior, who was no doubt accompanied by his parents, his brother Grant, and his precious granddaughter Rachel.  Milt leaves his rich legacy of faith and charity to his wife Mary and his four children: Steve, Heather(John), Dave(Karri) and Debbie(Dean); his eleven remaining grandchildren:  Lindsay(David), Christy, Spencer(Diana), Marla(Jared), Mitchell(Amber), Blake, Ben(Kristy), Sarah(Dale), Dana(Brandon), Josslyn(Adam) and Joelle; and twelve great-grandchildren: Maverick, Violet, Ashton, Dean, Rachel, Ryder, Lily, Ellie, Abby, Mirric, Arthur and Theo.

"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the Faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments." Deut: 7:9
