On Thursday April 4, 2013 at Maple Villa Long Term Care in Burlington. Predeceased by his wife Nora and son Richard. Loving father of son, Paul (Barb) and daughters, Jo-Anne (Rick), Suzanne and grandchildren Jim, Teri, Kathleen, Lori, Deborah, Robert, Matthew, Michelle and ten great-grandchildren. Gordie and Nora moved to Oakville in 1944. He was a longtime employee of Ford. He was active in minor hockey and was trainer for the Oakville senior A Oaks, the Blades and Oakville senior baseball team. The family would like to thank the staff of Maple Villa LTCC for their excellent care. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (1 block east of Kerr St., 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Sunday April 21st. Funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds St., Oakville.
