Obituary

Gordon Amos Hawley P.Eng.
November 15, 1933 - November 11, 2021

Gord, just shy of his 88th birthday, passed away peacefully at his home with his beloved wife Beverley by his side. He was a devoted and loving father to David (Helen), Tim (Mary-Eska), Meghan and Amanda (Clyde).  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Damian, Axel, Parker, Alexandra, Arielle, Christian, Connor, Jack, Noah and Joshua. He was also a loving great-grandfather to Olivia and Elliot. He will also be fondly missed by his step families Chris (Lisa), Jane (Steven), Sean (Joanne) and Carly (Stephen). He was predeceased by his first wife Ingrid Elisabeth.

Gord had a passion for collecting vintage cars and his love of airplanes led him to get his pilot's license.  Gord also loved road trips especially enjoying visiting his childhood stomping grounds of Bancroft and Peterborough. He worked tirelessly right up to the end as a civil engineer and owner of his successful design/build construction company.

Gord will be forever loved, missed and remembered by his family and friends, and by his colleagues of Hawley and Associates.

If desired, donations in Gord's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Visitation will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home Oakville, 64 Lakeshore Rd W. (one block east of Kerr St.) Tuesday November 16, 2021 from 1:30 pm to 3:45 pm with a private family service.
