Peacefully in Oakville on Friday April 4, 2008 in his 96th year. Gordon (aka 'Doc') was born in Sarnia December 27, 1912. Retired General Manager after 42 years service with Canadian General Electric Lamp Division. Founding member of The Oakville Curling Club. Long-time member of the Oakville Probus Club. Past Oakville Rotarian. Beloved husband for 65 years of devoted & care-giving wife Lorraine (nee Stevens). Loving father of Linda (& Ian Somerville), Steven (& Karen), John (& Barb). Proud 'Bomps' to Dana (& Tony), Kara (& Scott), Julie, Matt, Josh (& Alexis), Susan (& Derek), and Alison. Great-grandpa to Maclain & Rocky. Predeceased by siblings Thelma, Verna, Leila, Helen, Ken & Irwin. Friends will be received at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W. (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville on Friday April 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial Service will be at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William St., Oakville on Saturday April 12, 2008 at 12 Noon.
