Brooke was born in Victoria, B.C. on May 9th, 1944, raised in Oakville, and died suddenly on April 1, 2011 in Hamilton, Ontario. Brooke is lovingly survived by his two sons, Gordon Mark and Charles Blair, daughter-in-law Alison, grandson Charlie, stepmother Marion Ferris and all those who were privileged to know him. In recent years, Brooke fulfilled his passion for travel and adventure, which included piloting the space shuttle simulator, touring China and navigating the Colorado River. The arrival of his grandson Charlie brought him great joy. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 7th, 2011 at St. Jude's Church, 160 William Street, Oakville.
