IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glenn James
Cooper
February 8, 1945 – December 24, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces that Glenn is "in spiritu non in corpora est." He is the cherished husband of 49 years to Carol (née Hone), caring father to Emily (Umang) and Tim (Leigh), fun loving Grandpa Glenn to Finley, Gillon, River and Arran. He is predeceased by his brother Dave and parents Ruth and Jim. He is adored by his siblings Nancy, Doug and Perry as well his cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends both old and new.
Glenn is known for his sense of humour. He uses a brilliant mix of satire and dry wit for gifted storytelling. He shared laughs with many and in recent years nothing brought him greater joy than laughing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed music, history, books, trains, cryptic crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, Di-Di, and the news with 3 newspapers delivered daily. He was raised in Ridgetown, studied at Western and was a respected insolvency lawyer who practiced for ~40 years. He enjoyed the challenge of the law and sometimes referred to himself as a professional secret keeper and excuse maker. At his core, he was a musician who played the piano, organ, and sang in choirs.
We trust his memory will live on in our music, stories, smiles, laughter, fun and love for each other. His life was well lived. Rest in God's Peace.
A Celebration of his life will be held at St. Jude's Anglican Church,
160 William Street, Oakville on Friday June 24, 2022 at 11 am.
