Gino Santucci, music lover, Leafs fan, fishing and card game aficionado, passed away on June 11, 2024 while listening to Dean Martin and holding hands with his daughter and favourite niece.

Born in Chieti Scalo, Abruzzo, Italy on January 27, 1932, he immigrated to England in 1955 where he met and married the love his life.  In 1967, they moved to Oakville, ON a place he loved and called home for the rest of his life.

Known as Pap, Zio Gino and Papa Santucci, he was respected and loved by all who knew him.  His easy going attitude and infectious smile were a gift he shared with the world.  Always putting everyone at ease, even in his final days, his signature phrase "It's OK" will be fondly remembered and carried on by his wife, Maria, daughter Luisa, sister Irma, sister-in-law Rosa, along with nephews and nieces, Paolo, Enrico, Angelo, Ornella, Giovanna, Joseph, Lilia and Gino.

Preceding him in peace were his parents, Luigi and Aquilina, and siblings Lucia, Nevio, Clelia, Lidia and Remo.

A special thanks to our extended family at Queens Avenue Retirement Residence and Tansley Woods LTC for the care and love they shared with Gino, Maria and family over the years.

To celebrate Gino's memory, visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home.  A funeral mass will be held at St. James Parish, Oakville, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 10 am.
