After a brief illness on Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, peacefully surrounded by his family. Gil was born in Brandon, Manitoba and started his career in Winnipeg and transferred to Toronto where he retired as a Director of Training and Education for CNCP after 47 years. Beloved husband of Norah for 58 years. Loving father of Doug (Shirley Anne), Judy Gilmour (Roy), and Gordon (Gwen). Brother of Rita Doran of British Columbia. Lovingly missed by his grandchildren, Amanda, Glenn and Thomas. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A mass celebrating the life of Gil will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Saint Dominic Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville.
