Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Northridge Long Term Care Home in Oakville where she was lovingly cared for in her final years.

Born in Howard New Brunswick November 2, 1926, Georgina ventured out on her own and found her way to Hamilton. That is where she met and married her life partner the late Paul Szpakowski. They started a family and eventually settled in Burlington where they raised their five children. Sadly, Georgina was predeceased by her husband Paul, followed by her sons Paul Jr. and Ronald as well as her daughter Terry Bruno (Sam). Through it all, her faith never wavered.

Georgina will be missed dearly by her surviving daughter Marquita Manes (Pasquale) and son Peter Szpakowski (Penny). Nana shared so much love with her grandchildren Adam, Joseph, Emily, Ben, Ken, Katie and Jake.

We will miss her tremendously but take consolation in knowing that she is at peace being reunited with her husband and other children. We know our "angel on earth" is now smiling down on us from above.

Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr 905-844-2600) Oakville, from 2-5 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018. Funeral Mass will held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 1150 Monks Passage, Oakville. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 580 Old York Road, Burlington.
