It is with great sorrow that we tell our friends of the passing of Geoffrey on Thursday, July 28, 2011. A gentleman with a cheeky sense of humour, he cared deeply for his family and friends. As an R.A.F. pilot, he was introduced to Canada and, in 1957, Geoff and his wife Audrey, decided to make Canada their home. With a keen mind for finance, he succeeded in his career with the Government of Ontario and always carefully managed his personal affairs. He was an avid sportsman from an early age, representing his town in cricket and rugby. In Canada, he took up golf and tennis, which he enjoyed with Audrey and his Men's League. Dear husband of his beloved Audrey, who passed away in March 2009. Loving father and father-in-law to Mike and Wendy Harrison, Karen and the late Gerry Colarusso and Rick and Gill Russell. Cherished grandfather to Michael, Ben, Jen, Christine, Katie and Jeff. Great grandfather to Joshua Harrison. Dear uncle to Den and Carol Clifford, Robin and Jane Stewart-Forshaw, Anna Mistry and Ian & Caroline MacArthur. Brother to the late Cathy MacArthur. A special thank you to the staff at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their kind and thoughtful care. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville from 9-11a.m. Monday, August 29, 2011. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Kopriva Chapel. We will be grateful for flowers but would prefer donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Ontario Lung Association.
