After a courageous battle with brain cancer, Geoff passed away peacefully at the Ian Anderson House, dearly beloved husband of Joan (Frewin), dear father of Tim (Sue), Andrew (Suzanne) and Gillian (Jeff Horbal). He will be sadly missed by his loving grandchildren Fraser, Elizabeth and Rebecca Grant, Matthew and Brayden Grant and Brian. Alex and Sarah Horbal, also survived by his nephew John Gall of Ottawa. Geoff was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on May 9, 1931, raised in Montreal and educated at Westmount High School and McGill University. Geoff enjoyed a successful career with Eatons in Montreal and Toronto. He spent a happy retirement in Oakville with a passion for gardening, traveling, bridge and golf with the Oakville Masters. A service of celebration for Geoff's life will be held at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville, on Tuesday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ian Anderson House would be greatly appreciated by the family. A special thanks to the staff who provided support and respectful care to Geoff.
