Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Genowefa Bigda on March 3, 2021 at the age of 99. Genowefa passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones taking her last breath on earth and her first breath in heaven with Christ. Beloved wife of late Tadeusz Bigda (2012) and loving mother of Krystyna Placzek (Boniek), Sofia Alfar (Pawel) and Andrew Bigda (Dorothy). Cherished Babcia (Grandmother) to Janusz, Beata, Marek, Ashley, Jessica and Michelle. She will be greatly missed by her great-grandchildren Anna, Daniel, David and Patrick as well as her great-great granddaughter Angel.

Genowefa was a caring and strong woman who enriched the lives of those who knew her. She was immensely loved by all and will be dearly missed but will live in our hearts forever.

If desired, donations can be made in memory of Genowefa in lieu of flowers to the Bethell Hospice Foundation in Inglewood or to St. Anthony's Parish in Oakville.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the visitation and rosary will occur by appointment only on Friday, March 5 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Please see above to register.

The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Parish located at 40 John St, Oakville, ON L6K 1G8. Following the mass, the burial will take place at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery located at 1149 Dundas St W, Oakville, ON L6M 4L8.
