In Loving Memory of Genevieve Urbanowicz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Genevieve Urbanowicz, our cherished matka, bupcia, and pra bupcia who left us on May 1, 2024 at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital after along illness with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Genevieve was known for her unconditional love, extreme generosity, kindness, and devotion.

Genevieve is survived by her children Ed (Marie-Claude), Jo-Anne (Wah) and Christine (Hugues) as well as 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Tadeusz, her father Frank Ciukaj, her mother Katrazyna nee Gardynk, brother Stanley Gardynk.  She is survived by her sister Stella Kiersnowski and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 10, 2024 from 7 pm - 9 pm at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville.  A Funeral Mass and reception will be held at St. Michael's Parish, 181 Sewell Drive, Oakville, on Saturday May 11, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga.
