Passed away gently at the Kensington Retirement Community in Oakville, Ontario soon after the passing of her beloved husband of 52 years, John R. Sale. Gene was born to Frances and Fred Holloway 93 years ago in Wheeling, West Virginia. She attended Kennedy Collegiate High School in Windsor, Ontario. Gene served as a medical technologist in the U.S. Army during WWII. She also completed an undergraduate degree in Social Studies at the University of Michigan and Wayne State University. Later Gene earned a teaching certificate and Masters of Education Degree from Eastern Michigan University. This led to a rewarding career teaching talented youth in Farmington, Michigan and Oakville, Ontario. Loving daughters, Gale H. Watson and Andrea M. Sale, survive her. Gene's passions were sharing humour and caring with all who passed her way. A quick wit, tender heart and love of learning made for a life well lived. Gene you made a difference in countless lives and will be missed by many.
