Passed away suddenly and peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the age of 70. Loving husband of Margaret for 42 years and devoted father of Ryan and Erin. Will also be missed by his brother Blair and his wife Melissa, 7 caring nieces and their families. Born on December 22, 1945 in Mather, MB, to parents Karl and Verda (Dennison). Attended the University of Manitoba before moving to Toronto in 1967. Gayne was proud to become a Chartered Accountant soon after. He and Margaret (Bawden) were married on March 15, 1974. Ryan was born in 1977 and Erin followed in 1979. Gayne lived in Oakville for 40 years, but remained a western boy at heart. He had this summer returned home to Mather for his 50th high school reunion with his closest friends Bob Argue and Eric Harrison. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm followed by a brief service at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
