Passed away, surrounded by his loving wife and family, on December 21, 2008, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Audrey; wonderful father of Doug (Erika) Bell, Janet (Tibor) Kovats, and Joan (Darrell) Atherley; adoring Grandfather of Anne-Marie, Robin, Kathryn, Barbra, Davin, Rylan and Great-Grandfather of Anna. He is also survived by his sisters Pauline Dooley, Jewel Russell and his brother Bill. A WWII pilot (DFC), Garn graduated from the University of Toronto in Forestry and pursued his career in Kapuskasing. He retired to Oakville in 1986 and enjoyed curling, lawn bowling, golf, bridge, Probus and CESO. Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Maple Grove United Church, 346 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville. A reception to follow.
