Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in his 77 ^th year. Beloved husband of Maria Hortense. Dear father of Paula (Rob), George and Licinio (Tammy). Loving Avô of Michael, Jessica, Matteo, Brianna and Ethan. He will be sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr 905-844-2600) Oakville from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at St. Joseph Portuguese Roman Catholic Church, 2451 Old Bronte Road, Oakville. Interment to follow at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
