Passed peacefully with his loving wife of 41 years, Ruth, by his side on January 9, 2009 at Guelph General Hospital. A professional mining and civil engineer, Jim worked on projects throughout Canada. Also, he was the head of building and construction for the University of Toronto for 25 years. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday. A service celebrating Jim's life will be held at 10:30 am Friday January 16, 2009 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Knox Presbyterian Church, Oakville, or Trinity United Church, 400 Stevenson St. North, Guelph ON N1E 5C3.
