It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of G. Isabelle McGregor on August 10, 2007 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of Roy and Belle McGregor and sister to Kenneth Hugh McGregor, Isabelle was born on April 17, 1926 in Toronto. A lifetime resident of Oakville, Isabelle retired in 1981 after a long and productive career with Bell Canada. An avid golfer and skilled card player Isabelle enjoyed her retirement years and had recently found great pleasure living at Delmanor Glen Abbey. Isabelle possessed a sharp wit and relaxed manner that served her well in life and nurtured new friendships with ease. She was a loving aunt to Anne McGregor Poliquin, her husband Richard and their children Joy, Claire and John, all of North Vancouver, cousin to Roy and Marg Kelley of Oakville and sister-in-law to Jane McGregor. Isabelle will be deeply missed by all who knew her and were touched by her kind spirit. She will remain in our hearts forever. The family offers special heartfelt thanks to Isabelle's dearest friend, Barbara Knights, for her kindness, compassion, constant support and love. At Isabelle's request there will be no service. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
