Peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at age 82. Freda, beloved wife of Allan. Loved mother of Janet and her husband the late Vern Maynard, Barry and his wife Pat and Richard and his wife Susan. Loved grandmother of Curtis, Kristy (Casey), Amy (Marc), Stephen, Katie, Todd (Nikki), Erin (Scott), Jessie (Stephane) and nine great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Vera Hines and Fannie Urquhart and niece of Gerald and the Rev. Vernon McDormand. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Ada Welch, her brothers Berton, David, Gerald and her grandson Scott. Service of Remembrance 1:00 pm Saturday October 2, 2010 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville. Freda's cremated remains will be interred with a service at Westport Brier Island, Nova Scotia at a later date.
