Passed away at home in Bronte, on November 2, 2010 at age 84. Pre-deceased by his wife Pat earlier this year. Father of Betty-Ann Fraser(Tony) of Dartmouth, NS and Bruce Hammond (Sheri) of London, ON. Grandfather of Twins Connor and Tyler Hammond. Pre-deceased by his brother Bob in 1988. Survived by his sister-in-law June and her children Rob and Leigh-Anne. Frank was born in Unity, Saskatchewan and moved to Saskatoon at the age of six when his dad passed away. He graduated from university and moved to Indian Head, where he met Pat. They married in 1952 and moved to Regina where Frank started a 37 year career with Sears. They subsequently lived in Calgary, Saskatoon, Halifax and Toronto before retiring to Oakville. Frank and Pat travelled extensively, often with some of the many friends they had from the different cities in which they had lived. Frank loved his golf at Lambton and was a keen bridge player. Frank found life difficult without Pat, and he passed away peacefully in their home on the lake in Bronte. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 6, 2010 followed by a brief service of remembrance at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
