Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21 st ,2015. Aged 89, he died surrounded by family after a long life and brief illness. Frank was born in Moncton, N.B., the eldest of three children. Predeceased by his parents Lt. Col. Frank Leroy Price (OBE) and Maitland Elizabeth Price (nee Miller) and sister Elizabeth Moore (Donald). He is survived by his wife Patricia (nee Ryan); his sister Barbara Hawkins (Roger); his children Ted Price (Julia), Cynthia Price, Deborah Holmes (Jeff), Trish Blanchard (Randy) and Barbara Filice (John); his grandchildren Liam Price (Susan McKay), Courtney Firlit (Brian), Michael Filice, and Katelyn Filice; and his great grandchildren Claire and Paige Firlit. A native of New Brunswick. Frank lived most of his life in southern Ontario. Frank was a member of the Canadian Parachute Corps in World War II and the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals thereafter. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1947 in Electrical Engineering. He moved to Ontario and pursued a career that included Ontario Hydro, Inglis, GSW and an energy consulting business that he founded and led. Frank was a long time member of the Oakville Golf Club. Later in life, art became his passion and he left a legacy of his work. He will be sorely missed. Thanks to the dedicated staff at Trillium Hospital and Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) for such compassionate care. A celebration of Frank's life will be held on Saturday, June 20 th , 2015 at the Oakville Golf Club from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to OTMH will be appreciated.
