At the age of 78, on February 3, 2012, surrounded by family at home in Oakville. Frank will be forever remembered by Marilyn, his wife of 32 years; his daughters Julia (Michael Summerhayes), Anita (James Fox), and Maria (Gordon Muirhead); his son Nick (Andria); his step-children Heather Byant and Shawn McQuay. Proud Poppa to his grandchildren Taylor, Holly, Tristen, Jack, William and Josie; loving brother to his siblings Richard (Debbie), Otto (Leata), Maria, and Henry (Cathy), and all their families. Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia to Henry and Jarmila, Frank arrived in Oakville, Ontario in 1949. Frank enjoyed 55 successful years in the sporting goods business, as the Founder and President of Jelinek Sports Ltd. and FVJ Imports Sales Ltd. Frank travelled extensively throughout his life, for business and pleasure. He was passionate about sports, as an accomplished athlete and as a fan. He loved to read, appreciated fine and voluminous foods, and enjoyed golf (most of the time!). But Frank's greatest love was family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville.
