It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved Mother Florence "Flo" DeForest, who passed away peacefully on Friday August 19, 2022 at the age of 88.  She was predeceased by the love of her life John "Hot Shot" DeForest.

Survived by her son Steven DeForest (late wife Lynda), daughter Laurie Little (husband Doug) and daughter Mary-Ellen Donaldson (husband Wayne).

Beloved sister of the late James "Jimmy" Webber (sister-in-law Margaret) and sister Carol LeBlanc (husband Mo).

She leaves behind her beloved granddaughter Caitlyn Roffey (husband Jordan), great grandson Liam Roffey, grandson David Ridge and granddaughter Patricia Ridge.

She will be deeply missed by "her boys" Terry and Greg Herron and their families.

She will also be missed by lifetime best friend June Anderson.

Flo was born and raised in Long Branch Ontario and following her marriage to John moved to the town of Oakville where they raised their family.

Flo had many passions over her lifetime ranging from volunteer work, painting, sewing, knitting, gardening, and reading.  She enjoyed everything about her cottage on Rice Lake.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Chartwell Lakeshore and the caring team at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

Flo requested a private family service, though we thank you for your support during this difficult time.

She leaves behind a space in all our hearts that will never be filled and a lifetime of memories her family and friends will cherish forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or Heart and Stroke Foundation in Flo's memory would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
