Originally from Hearst, Ontario, retired from Canada Post 37 years. Died peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, after a long struggle with cancer. Survived by his children, Paul (Janet), Joanne Mota, Joe Houle, Carolyn Umpleby (Ron), his sister Clemence Houle, and brothers Roger and Luc. Remembered by his grandchildren. A Service celebrating Gerry's life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2007, at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
