Affectionately Fred to his family and friends, passed away on Saturday March 19, 2016, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, at age 83. Fred has gone to be with his beloved son Giovanni who passed away on August 15, 1974 and other family who have gone before him. Loving husband to Laura, and awesome father to Anna Maria (Tony Ruffolo) and Daiana (Rob McCoy), and his greatest joy was being a proud Nonno to John, his grandson. We all have so much to be grateful for. Thank you for your love of life so generously shared, for your humour, gentleness, and strength and for all the laughter, stories and great conversation. Fred lived his life with love for his family and friends. Gratitude is extended to the staff at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion and to his doctors, Dr. Zayid, Dr. Sapir and Dr. Jedrzkiewicz. Family and friends are invited to gather at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home (64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville) on Tuesday March 22nd from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 9 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday March 23rd at 10 am at St. James Parish (231 Morden Road, Oakville). Entombment to follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would kindly be appreciated.
