Faith Huelma Hyslop was born on May 03, 1966 to Servillano Miranda Huelma and Mansueta Huelma (nee Correos) in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, Philippines. Faith is survived by husband James William Hyslop and many loving family members and friends.

Raised as the sixth child of 7 girls and 3 boys. She is also survived by her
5 sisters and a brother Rosalinda, Ricaredo (Sol), Marianita (Gregorio), Galilee (Larry), Katherine (Derek), Rhoda (Renshen)  Predeceased by: Servillano, Mansueta, Edilberto, Carlos (Estrellita) and Christine (John).  Faith will be lovingly remembered by their families as well as her family and friends here and in the Philippines. Fondly remembered by brother in –law Andy and cousins.

Faith loved to work and was a very hard worker, prayerful, loved walking exercising, crocheting , solving puzzles, caring for fish pets, cleaning fish tanks,  loved to plant, and loved serving and volunteering in the community. Faith and Jim loved traveling, eating outside and loved and served the Lord at Evangel Pentecostal Church as part of the Welcoming team and Perfect Peace Ministry.  Faith was dedicated, loving  and compassionate in caring for the elderly; she started in Canada by working with the Farrow's family in Oakville taking care of Ms Mary's Mama Ms Muriel Bodrug and she spent most of her working life as Guest Services at Quality Inn Hotel and at the Fortinos Store at Lakeshore Oakville.

Faith passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) after almost 6 months with cancer. The family appreciates you sending memorial contributions to:

Visitation will be held on Friday June 13, 2025 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 14, 2025 at Evangel Pentecostal Church, 1450 Rebecca Street, Oakville at 11 am.  Interment will take place at Burlington Memorial Gardens.
