It is with great sorrow that the family of Evelyn Grace Minett announces her passing on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from natural causes at the age of 93.  She was surrounded by her family at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital.

Evelyn is survived by her brother Gordon Upton (Bonnie) and her children Wayne (Marna-Rose), Rick (Pat), and Diane Aplin; her grandchildren Colin (Katherine), Daniel, Kym, Warren (Amanda), Justin (Sonja), Lauren (Matt), Jessica (Justin), Jacqueline (Brayden), and Calvin (Allie); and her great-grandchildren Rayne, Arielle, Kalleigh, Jordan, Ava, Matthew, Meadow, Myles, and Eloise.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 73 years Russell (Russ) Minett, her parents Mary and Cyril Upton, her daughter, Cheryl Swala and husband Carl, and her son-in-law Don (Diane Aplin).

Ev enjoyed her winters with Russ in Donna TX and summers in Victoria Harbour. They loved to travel and visited many different countries.

Ev will be sadly missed by her family and many friends in Victoria Harbour, Donna TX and Palermo Village.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home. 64 Lakeshore Rd., Oakville ON L6K 1E1 on Sunday, November 10, 2-4 pm.
