Esther (Ward) Lawrence passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024, at the age of 81.

Esther was the oldest of nine children.  She was born in Toronto at her grandmother's house to parents Eva (Dawe) and Hamilton Ward, and grew up on the large family farm near Glencairn, Ontario.  She always had a warm smile and was full of enthusiasm, humour, and was a great storyteller.  She loved to travel and enjoy time with her husband, 'her Donnie' (Donald Lawrence – predeceased).

Esther took pride in keeping her home and gardens well-kept and beautiful.  She worked most of her life at Loblaws and was a respected and dependable member of their team.  Esther also greatly loved the two dogs she had over the years (Whiskers and Cole); they brought her great joy.

Esther will be dearly missed by the family and friends she leaves behind.  Her brothers and sisters Dianne Radvany (Rick), Cathy Marshall (Rob), John Ward (Joanne Ball), Barry Ward (Deanna), Joy Kovacs (Ron Parker), Ken Ward (Michelle), Hammy Ward (Christine Mesdag), and Patricia Cheshire (Doug), her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and her many close friends and neighbours.

A celebration of Esther's life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville; visitation from 11:00 am – 12 noon and service beginning at 12 noon, followed by a reception.
