Surrounded by family, Ena passed away peacefully at home on Nov.25th, 2012 after a third valiant battle with cancer. Survived by her husband & best friend of 51 years, Jim Smith & much loved daughters Linsey Corrigan (Jeff), Caroline Gingles (Erik), Shona Smith, Trish Telfer (Jim) & her beloved grandchildren Tadhg, Kate, Abbie, Stuart, Catriona, Sarah & Claire. A world traveller, Ena was born in Inverness, Scotland & emigrated to Canada in 1966. A dedicated wife, mother & grandmother, Ena was an active volunteer throughout the years for Girl Guides, the United Church & the Canadian Blood Services. An avid golfer, she worked for the RCGA & Canadian Open for 10 years. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home in Oakville, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, November 29th. The funeral service will be held at Walton Memorial United Church in Oakville, on Friday, November 30th at 1 pm. The family would like to thank Dr. Surbey & his staff, Credit Valley Hospital Oncology & Palliative Patient Care Unit staff, Marlene Grezesiak from CCAC & RN Liliya Shevchouk for her compassionate home care.
